1. Forecasts and Predictions Disclaimer

The US Snow Day Calculator is an informational forecasting tool that estimates the mathematical likelihood of school closures based on National Weather Service (NOAA) data.

CRITICAL: We are NOT an official announcement portal.

School closure decisions are made exclusively by local superintendents. You must never assume a school is closed based on our calculator results. Always verify cancellation reports with official announcements from your school district, local television broadcasts, or city administration.

2. Accuracy of Information

We query official weather API grids directly, but weather forecasts can change rapidly. We are not liable for any planning issues, childcare bookings, travel adjustments, or actions taken in reliance on our prediction percentages.

3. Intellectual Property

The calculator design, color tokens, layout stylesheets, and prediction algorithm are the intellectual property of the US Snow Day Calculator developers. You may link to our pages, but scraping our API or copying code without attribution is prohibited.

4. Permitted Use

This tool is provided for personal, non-commercial use by parents, students, teachers, and school workers. Automated querying or brute-forcing of our coordinates API endpoint is prohibited.
